Der @EuropeanaBot lernt Vokabeln…

Es gibt wieder eine kleine Erweiterung beim EuropeanaBot. Auf der Suche nach Zufallsquellen für Europeana-Suchen bin ich über die API von Wordnik gestolpert. Im Wikipedia-Eintrag zu dieser Seite heißt es:

Wordnik.com is an online dictionary and language resource that provides dictionary and thesaurus content, some of it based on print dictionaries such as the Century Dictionary, the American Heritage Dictionary, WordNet, and GCIDE. Wordnik has collected a corpus of billions of words which it uses to display example sentences, allowing it to provide information on a much larger set of words than a typical dictionary.

Einer der Dienste, den man über die Schnittstelle ansprechen kann ist das „Wort des Tages“. Der Bot sucht ab sofort einmal täglich in der Europeana nach einem Bild zum jeweiligen Eintrag:
